Elevate! offers an action-packed full-day summer experience where students in grades 5-12 dive into exciting weekly enrichment tracks like yoga, hebrew, innovation, and more—led by expert educators and supported by Upper School mentors.

Each day is filled with hands-on learning, community connection, and unforgettable summer fun. Plus, with morning and afternoon aftercare available, the adventure never has to end!

All programs are 9AM-3PM. Before and after care is available through registration.

Grades 5-8 (Girls Only)
Adolescents grow their confidence by succeeding at doing new things. This week-long program will empower middle school girls to grow their self confidence and manage anxiety and perfectionism. Each day will have a theme in the form of a positive affirmation (I am strong, I am prepared, I am loved, I am healthy, I am enough). Through daily yoga, meditation, and journaling, a hiking excursion, positive psychology, and going full out when doing things we are "bad at" (such as dancing and singing), middle school girls will learn habits and be empowered to overcome anxiety and perfectionism. Other activities during the week will include team bonding games, a spa day, karaoke, Zumba, journal prompts, learning how to use a calendar/planner, and a group fitness class.

Crescendo! is a two-week exhilarating summer music experience administered by the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (LAJS) in collaboration with Milken Community School. Young musicians will refine their technique in daily sectionals led by LAJS Teaching Artists. Music theory and ear training will sharpen their musical minds, while opportunities for interactive Q&A sessions with inspiring guest artists offer a glimpse into the world of orchestral music. Orchestra Explorers is a fun and engaging introduction to the world of music, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (LAJS), designed for young beginners with no prior experience. With guidance from highly qualified LAJS Teaching Artists, students will explore harmony, rhythm, and orchestral instrument families through hands-on activities and kinetic play, making musical concepts fun and interactive. Each student will have the chance to try three beginner friendly instruments – wind, string, and percussion. By the end of the weeklong program, students will gain a deeper appreciation for music and the confidence to take the next step in their musical journey. Crescendo! is a two-week exhilarating summer music experience administered by the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (LAJS) in collaboration with Milken Community School. Young musicians will refine their technique in daily sectionals led by LAJS Teaching Artists. Music theory and ear training will sharpen their musical minds, while opportunities for interactive Q&A sessions with inspiring guest artists offer a glimpse into the world of orchestral music. Chamber and full ensemble rehearsals will build collaboration skills, culminating in a performance at the Gindi Auditorium. Join us for a summer of growth, inspiration, and music-making! Please Note: Students must own their chosen instrument and have at least one year of experience.

Students will write, shoot, edit, and star in their own short film and learn about all of the different jobs and people that it takes to make our favorite movies. Whether an aspiring actor, writer, or cinematographer, students of all interests will be taught the filmmaking process by actual independent filmmakers and professional educators. With a focus on our "3 Cs" of Creativity, Community, and Collaboration, the program teaches the fundamentals of story structure and that anything is possible with imagination and teamwork. Orchestra Explorers is a fun and engaging introduction to the world of music, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (LAJS), designed for young beginners with no prior experience. With guidance from highly qualified LAJS Teaching Artists, students will explore harmony, rhythm, and orchestral instrument families through hands-on activities and kinetic play, making musical concepts fun and interactive. Each student will have the chance to try three beginner friendly instruments – wind, string, and percussion. By the end of the weeklong program, students will gain a deeper appreciation for music and the confidence to take the next step in their musical journey. Please Note: This program is for students with limited or no previous instrumental experience.
